【謎】Surface Miniはやはり製造されていた？ いずれにせよ、当面は出てきません

大方の予想に反しイベントで発表されなかったことで波紋が広がっているSurface Mini。

続々と各メディアの追跡記事が流れてきています。一部を昨日の記事でご紹介しました。

その後、Neowinは「Surface Miniは実在し、15000～20000台試作されていた」「タッチ版Office="Gemini"の完成を待っている」と報じ、Surface Miniがイベント直前にキャンセルされたという見方を補強しています。

More so, the device was already in production, with thousands - 15,000-20,000 of them - having already been made, and which now are sitting somewhere, locked up, waiting to see the light of day.

So what does Microsoft want to do? It wants to give the mini a touch version of Office out of the box as one of its selling points so that users don't feel locked into only using OneNote.

いずれにせよ、Microsoftから公式発表が何もない以上、今我々ユーザーが知りえるのは推測の範囲を出ません。

Surface Miniを粘り強く待つか、ほかの8インチタブレットで妥協するか。LTE版が早期に登場する可能性が不明なのが厳しいころです。
